Your career journey doesn’t start after graduation, it starts here.
Alpha Kappa Psi, the world's oldest and largest co-ed professional business fraternity, was founded on October 5th, 1904. At the California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Chapter, we empower the business leaders of tomorrow through professional development assistance and a network that lasts beyond graduation.
A Message from our President
Hello! Welcome to CSULB Alpha Kappa Psi - Delta Omicron’s website. Here, you can get to know our values, who our brothers are, and how you can get involved. We thank you for your interest in our fraternity!
Alpha Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest co-ed business fraternity. Our organization is built on the core values of Brotherhood, Knowledge, Integrity, Unity, and Service. Open to all majors, you will be given the amazing experience to make lifelong friends who strive for professional and personal development.
As a freshman in the fall of 2023, I joined AKPsi in hopes of finding a welcoming community with ambitious, like-minded individuals. Not only have I had the privilege of finding this community, but I’ve also learned a lot about myself and those around me. My fellow brothers introduced me to the business world. Some of my closest friendships were made through AKPsi; I would not be the woman I am today without them. For that reason, I am ecstatic to be the Chapter’s President for the upcoming school year!
If you are interested in joining an organization that supports your best interests while expanding your network at CSULB, we are the place for you! With that being said, I highly encourage you to come out to our Fall '25 rush week to get to know our brothers and see what Alpha Kappa Psi can offer you! I hope to see you all there.

Ms. Jazmin Olivas-Pacheco
Chapter President

What is the Prospecting Process?Alpha Kappa Psi's Prospecting Process is a 9-week professional development program designed to help students grow personally and professionally while exploring membership in the fraternity. By the end of the 9 weeks, students will not only have developed valuable career-ready skills but will also have gained a clearer understanding of how Alpha Kappa Psi can support their long-term goals.

Is attendance at Rush Events obligatory for applying? While attending rush events is not mandatory, we strongly encourage potential applicants to participate in as many as possible. This interaction allows applicants to familiarize themselves with the chapter, and vice versa.

What's the expected level of commitment? The level of commitment is directly proportional to the benefits you derive from our professional organization. It's often likened to taking a 3-4 unit course in terms of time and effort investment.
-
Can I rush again if I don’t get a bid the first time?Yes, even if you don’t receive a bid the first time, you are welcome to go through the recruitment process again in a future semester. Coming back to rush again shows commitment, which we highly value in our members.
